Buying Guides
Straight answers to the questions people ask before ordering made-to-order furniture: how to configure a piece, how to choose leather you cannot touch through a screen, how long a build takes, and what actually happens on delivery day.
Everything we sell is built after you order it, so the decisions happen up front and most of them cannot be undone later. These guides exist to get those decisions right the first time.

For designers and trade buyers: what can be specified, samples for client presentations, lead times to schedule against, the order terms to raise with a client early, and delivery stated accurately enough to plan site labor around.
The short version
- Made-to-order furniture takes an average of 8-10 weeks. Pillows and rugs ship in 48-72 hours, wall art in 6-9 working days.
- You can cancel within 24 hours, subject to a 5% cancellation fee. After that, production has begun and cancellation is not possible.
- Made-to-order pieces are non-returnable, except where they arrive damaged -- so measure the route in and order samples.
- Free curbside delivery on all continental USA orders, no minimum. Indoor ground-floor placement is a paid upgrade; nothing is unboxed or assembled.
- Leather furniture is benchmade in North Carolina and carries a 10-year guarantee on the frame and suspension system. Outdoor furniture is made in Michigan.
