The frame uses double-dowelled joints glued and screwed for lasting strength, and the seat anchors on true 8-way hand-tied coil springs -- each coil connects to eight neighbors with twine so weight spreads evenly instead of sagging. The seat cushions layer individually pocketed Marshall coil units inside a foam box wrapped in comfort bond fiber, with down fill in sewn channels; back cushions are 2-inch hollow polyester fibers siliconized to reduce clumping.
