Most outdoor chairs offer either swivel or rocking motion, but not both together. The Leeward Deep Seat Swivel Hidden Motion Outdoor Arm Chair combines 360-degree swivel with gentle rocking motion in one concealed mechanism, built in the USA with marine-grade polymer construction that handles coastal salt air and poolside chemicals without cracking or fading, available at Uptown Sebastian with free shipping. You can customize frame finish and Sunbrella cushion fabric, and it arrives fully assembled with zero setup required.
How Is This Chair Actually Built?
It's constructed with marine-grade polymer that will never rust, rot, or absorb water, which means it holds up to direct salt spray, pool splashes, and humidity without the annual refinishing that wood or wicker demands. The swivel and rock mechanism is hidden inside the base using sealed bearings, so dirt and moisture can't get in -- you get smooth rotation and gentle rocking without periodic lubrication. Stainless steel hardware and commercial-grade joints mean this chair is built to hospitality standards, handling high-traffic use on resort terraces and pool decks, and it's made to order in the United States.
What Can You Choose on This Piece?
You can configure it your way from the start:
- Frame finish -- 20+ color options in marine-grade polymer
- Cushion fabric -- 100+ Sunbrella patterns and solids, all rated for mildew, fade, and water resistance
- Deep seat cushion set included, designed for extended lounging sessions
How Long Does It Take to Build?
Your chair will be ready in 6-8 weeks, built to order with the frame finish and Sunbrella fabric you select. Because each piece is crafted specifically for you, we can't accept returns on custom configurations, but the 15-year residential warranty covers the frame and mechanism -- marine-grade polymer carries that kind of backing because it genuinely lasts decades without weather-related breakdown.
Where Does This Chair Work Best?
This dual-motion design fits poolside lounging areas where you want to swivel toward conversation or rock while you read, covered patios where deep seating invites longer stays, and coastal decks where salt air destroys lesser materials within a few seasons. Pair it with pieces from our
outdoor lounge chairs collection to create a full conversation set, or coordinate with selections from our
outdoor dining chairs for flexible arrangements that move between meals and relaxation. If you're building out a complete outdoor room, our guide to
outdoor living spaces walks through layout and material choices that hold up year-round.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Where is this chair made?
- It's made to order in the United States, using domestic manufacturing for both the marine-grade polymer frame and the assembly with sealed bearing mechanisms.
- Can I return a made-to-order piece?
- Returnability follows the option you ordered, not how the piece was built: a size, finish or fabric shown as an option on this page can be returned within 30 days of delivery, subject to a 20% restocking fee, while a specially requested size or a piece made in your own material is custom and is not returnable except on damage.
- What does "hidden motion" mean?
- The swivel and rocking mechanism is concealed inside the chair's base, so you get full 360-degree rotation and smooth rocking without visible runners or exposed pedestals cluttering the design.
- Does marine-grade polymer fade in full sun?
- No, it's UV-stabilized and won't crack, fade, or degrade even under direct sun exposure year-round -- which is why it carries a 15-year residential warranty.
- Are the cushions included?
- Yes, the deep seat cushion set is included and upholstered in your choice of Sunbrella fabric, which resists fading, mildew, and staining and can be machine washed when needed.
- Does this chair require assembly?
- No, it ships fully assembled and ready to use the day it arrives.
