The Soho Sling Swivel Outdoor Rocker is built in America with a powder-coated aluminum frame and premium Sunbrella sling fabric engineered for coastal climates and year-round outdoor use. The Soho Sling Swivel Outdoor Rocker is available at Uptown Sebastian with free shipping. Its dual-motion design lets you pivot to face different parts of the patio or garden while rocking gently, so you're never locked into one angle or view.
How Is This Rocker Actually Built?
It's constructed on a marine-grade powder-coated aluminum frame that resists rust and corrosion even in high-humidity and salt-air environments. The commercial-grade swivel mechanism is engineered to handle thousands of rotations without loosening, and corrosion-resistant stainless-steel hardware holds every joint secure through rain, snow, and coastal exposure. The Sunbrella sling fabric stretches taut between the aluminum rails, creating a breathable seat that dries quickly after a downpour and returns to its original shape after use, so it never looks stretched or saggy.
What Can You Choose on This Piece?
You can select the frame finish when you order:
- White
- Snow
- Black
- Kona
- Desert Sand
- Beachwood
How Long Does It Take to Build?
This rocker is built to order with a 6-8 week lead time. Once it arrives, there's no assembly required -- it ships ready to use, and you can set it on the porch or deck the same day. The frame and construction carry a 15-year residential warranty, covering materials and workmanship for more than a decade of outdoor use.
Where Does a Swivel Rocker Fit Best?
This chair works beautifully on covered porches where you want seating you can pivot toward guests or the view without getting up. It's light enough to rearrange easily but sturdy enough to stay put through windy afternoons, and the quick-dry sling fabric means you're not storing cushions every time the forecast calls for rain. Pair it with pieces from our
outdoor lounge chairs collection or set two rockers facing each other for a conversation zone that feels more dynamic than fixed seating, and visit our guide to
outdoor living spaces for layout ideas that make patios feel like true extensions of the home. It's also a smart choice poolside or on an open deck where you want the comfort of an
outdoor rocking chair combined with the flexibility of a swivel base.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How long does it take to build?
- This rocker is made to order with a 6-8 week build time, and it ships ready to use with no assembly required.
- Can I choose the frame finish?
- Yes -- you can select from six powder-coated aluminum finishes when you place your order, including White, Black, Kona, Desert Sand, Beachwood, and Snow.
- Where is this rocker made?
- It's made in America by a manufacturer that's been building outdoor furniture domestically since 1953.
- Can I return a made-to-order piece?
- Returnability follows the option you ordered, not how the piece was built: a size, finish or fabric shown as an option on this page can be returned within 30 days of delivery, subject to a 20% restocking fee, while a specially requested size or a piece made in your own material is custom and is not returnable except on damage.
- How do you clean a sling chair?
- Rinse the Sunbrella sling with a garden hose and wipe the aluminum frame with a damp cloth -- no special cleaners needed for routine maintenance.
- Does powder-coated aluminum rust?
- Powder-coated aluminum is highly rust-resistant because aluminum naturally resists corrosion and the coating adds a protective barrier against moisture and salt air.
